Welcome!

A young woman with long wavy brown hair, fair skin, and a bright smile, wearing a beige blazer over a white top, standing against a plain grey background.

I’m Ayaka, a Japanese-American therapist based in New York City.

Thank you for your interest in working with me! I specialize in supporting clients who are struggling with people-pleasing, perfectionism, and boundary-setting. Many of my clients - often high-achievers - struggle with depression, anxiety, and/or burnout from constantly prioritizing the needs of others, whether in work, school, relationships, family, or more. Together, we’ll focus on tuning into your own needs and wants, cultivating self-compassion and resilience, and ultimately creating a life that aligns with your values rather than one shaped by external pressures.

I provide virtual therapy session through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Feel free to reach out with any questions - I look forward to connecting with you!

If you’re interested in working with me, reach out here to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.
